I absolutely LOVE the light on a sunny morning in our back yard. I think it's something about how it shines through the tree's and when everything is still wet with dew the entire yard just seems to sparkle. Very enchanting, or would be if we had more grass and less...old shed...but, it IS pretty light. I happened to pass by the kitchen window yesterday morning and just stood there admiring my pretty back yard(minus shed) and decided to grab my camera and walk outside for a bit before it got too hot. I noticed that our purple lilies in the ditch had finally bloomed. I really want to plant more of these in the ditch. These and other pretty flowers. I like them in the ditch because I don't feel bad about cutting them to put in the house :-)
(had to do a selfie...the light was too fun)
Any suggestions about what else I should plant out there?

Beautiful shots!
I think you need a mimosa tree tucked in somewhere near the back of your property. I have great childhood memories of pretending the fern leaves were money. My kids wanted some pretend money this weekend, and we went all around here looking for a mimosa tree and couldn't find one. Every kid needs a money tree.
Beautiful pictures!!!!!! I love them all!!!! I love the early morning light as well!!!I also have wonderful memories of a mimosa tree!!!! Too funny...to this day my eyes are drawn to to them and wishing my kids had one. Ours have a low branch that you could sit on....it was "my place". The flowers were fun, they had the pea pod seeds and the leaves were very cool!!!
Good one!! My grandparents had a mimosa tree in their back yard when I was little that got huge. I remember crying when it finally died and had to be cut down :-( I'll ask the boss about getting one! I always loved those pretty pink blooms :-)
